I started DJ'ing at a radio station in Southern Indiana in the 70's while I was in college. I also happened to be in radio/tv classes with future rock and roll star John Mellencamp, however nobody at that time knew he could sing.

Back in those daze I was playing prog rock when I could in between the Top 40 hits at the time. I thought the sun rose and set with Emerson, Lake & Palmer, Le Orme, Osanna, PFM, Banco, Yes, Genesis, Pink Floyd's DSOM and Rush's first LP. Then I got introduced to Krautrock groups such as Amon Duul 2, Neu, and Kraftwerk.

After graduation from college I got my first job at a Northeast Kansas Top 40 AM radio station. Later on I started a DJ service with 10 employees while living in Kansas doing high school and college dances and wedding parties. Great memories with that 80's music.

In 1998 I took to the net and created an online internet radio station called Internet Radio Free Kansas and was the first to stream prog rock and Krautrock. In April of 1999 my internet radio station was chosen by Rolling Stone Magazine as "one of the coolest stations on the Net". That was also the issue that Britney Spears first appeared in.

I've done promotional work with major recording acts such as Creed and audio interviews with metal group Kittie, Fear Factory, Cold, major label prog rock group Dream Theater, Barry Palmer of 70's prog rock group Triumvirat, Swedish prog rock Par Lindh Group and hundreds of other groups.

Since we moved to Ausin in 2007 I closed down my internet radio station from Kansas and now have this website.
